Washing machines

1. Can I install my washing machine using a hot water connection?
We do not recommend installation using a hot water connection. Technically the inlet valves of our machines can handle water up to 65 degrees celsius, however the washing programs do not use hot water constantly. Constant hot water can produce a poor washing result. In addition,our front- and top-loaded machines are specifically designed to be installed using a cold water connection.

2. Why can’t I find my washing machine on the website?
The site only displays our current line models. If you can’t find your model it may be older or a specialty model - please contact your dealer for further information.  

3. How old is my washing machine?
You can determine the age of your washing machine by looking at the serial number on the nameplate. The first number indicates the year and the second and third digits indicate the production week. For example, 13500016: week 35 in 2001.

4. I have an error code on my washing machine. What does that mean?
The error codes have different meanings depending on the issue that you are experiencing. Use our Troubleshooter to find a specific error code and learn how it can be resolved.

5. What do the symbols on my washing machine mean?

Ovens

1. How do I clean my oven?
The aluminium can be cleaned with a regular soap and water solution. You can clean the stainless steel with our special cleaner which is available through our webshop.

Hobs

1. How do I connect my electric, ceramic or induction hob to the mains?
The connection of the hob should be carried out in 2 x 230V (two phases) by a qualified electrician.

2. Where is the gas hose connection on my hob?
The gas hose connection is on the rear right of the stove. 

3. How do I clean my hob?
We recommend that you use our ceramic cleaning products which are available for purchase through our webshop. First, use the hob scraper and afterwards the ceramic hob cleaner.

1. My fridge / freezer smells, how do I remove the odour?
Electrolux sells special odour absorbers designed for your fridge / freezer. Take a look at our webshop for more information about this odor absorbers. You can also purchase them online here.

Hoods

1. How do I clean the filters in my hood?
Filters can be cleaned in the dishwasher or by hand - rinse them well and dry before placing them back into the hood. Note that the filters can turn white if you wash them in the dishwasher.
