If your oven Displays PYR, this is a reminder that the Pyro Clean (Self Cleaning Function) should be run.

Your oven will have 2 or 3 Pyro Clean Settings, depending on the model. Each settting operates for a different amount of time. Shorter Pyro Clean Settings can be run if your oven is lightly soiled or a longer setting can be run if your oven needs more intense cleaning.

To Run a Pyro Clean Setting on a Dial Control Oven, with a display that looks like this:

After cleaning, turn the knob for the heating functions to the off position

After cleaning, turn the knob for the heating functions to the off position

After the Pyro Clean Programme has been completed and the door has unlocked and after the oven has cooled down the ash residue can be wiped away with a damp cloth.

Note: Do not start the pyrolysis (Pyro Clean Setting) until the door is fully closed.

Ensure good ventilation during and after the pyrolysis (Pyro Clean Setting). Animals (especially birds) should be in a well-ventilated area during this time. Some birds and reptiles can react very sensitively to the fumes. Small animals also react during the pyrolysis (Pyro Clean Setting) to the local temperature fluctuations.

In our ovens, the fumes emanating from the pyrolysis (Pyro Clean Setting)  are safe for people, including children and people with health problems.
