Your innovative AEG coffee machine is a crucial component to bringing the best out of your morning coffee ritual or helping you get that afternoon energy boost. So here is a handy guide to help you enjoy your AEG coffee machine to the fullest.
ENSURE YOUR COFFEE MACHINE ALWAYS TURNS ON
Take these simple steps to make sure your machine wakes up, when you need some liquid wake up. First check that the main switch is on, then make sure the IEC cable is securely plugged in, and then check to see that the coffee machine is plugged into a power outlet.
Take a look at these videos to see how it’s done:

INSTALLING THE WATER SOFTENER FILTER
To make sure the water softener filter correctly works with your coffee machine, turn the rotary to select “menu”, then in “basic settings”, select “water” and confirm that a new water softener filter has been installed. Then remove the filter from its packaging, and run tap water through the hole in the filter until water comes out of the openings. Insert the filter in the water tank and immerse it completely for about ten seconds, tilting it and pressing it lightly to enable the air bubbles to escape.
Only applicable for coffee machines with a rotary.
MAKE SURE YOUR COFFEE IS ALWAYS AS HOT AS YOU WANT
There are several things you can do to make sure your coffee is always as hot as you want. Feel free to implement whichever one works for you. First, you can warm the machine by using the rinse function. You can also use hot water to warm the cups and then set the coffee temperature on the menu.
Take a look at these videos for how to do that:

ALWAYS GET STRONG AND CREAMY COFFEE
To get the coffee results you want, try turning the grinding adjustment dial anti-clockwise one step at a time. Make sure you only turn the dial while the grinder is on.
MAKE CERTAIN THE MILK ALWAYS COMES OUT PROPERLY FROM THE MILK CONTAINER
Follow these step-by-step instructions to help ensure that you can make the latte of your dreams. Remove the milk container, clean the hot water/steam connection nozzle, and extract the milk container. Make sure that when you clean the thermal casing, you clean it with a damp cloth only.
Next, remove the milk spout and intake tube, turn the froth adjustment dial clockwise to the “INSERT” position, and pull it off. Clean each component of the milk frother, and make sure there is no milk residue on the hollow and groove under the dial. If necessary, scrape the groove with a toothpick.
Reconnect the dial, lining up the arrow with the word “INSERT”. Reconnect the spout and milk intake tube. Place the milk container in the thermal casing. Finally, place the lid back onto the milk container.
IF THE COFFEE IS DELIVERED TOO SLOWLY OR A DROP AT A TIME
Just turn the grinding adjustment dial one click clockwise towards “7” while the coffee mill is in operation. Continue one click at a time until coffee delivery is satisfactory. Remember though, the effect is only visible after delivering two coffees.

MAKE SURE YOUR COFFEE IS ALWAYS FLOWING FROM BOTH SPOUTS
There’s nothing better than a life hack with a common household item. Like keeping the coffee spouts clear by using a toothpick, which helps keep the coffee flowing from both spouts.
ALWAYS EASILY EXTRACT THE INFUSER
To make sure the coffee machine doesn’t act as stubborn as my cat, follow these steps so you can always remove the infuser with ease. Turn the appliance off by pressing the on/off/stand-by button, then wait for the coffee machine to turn off, and then slide the drip tray back slightly, and remove the infuser.
AT THE END OF DESCALING, THE APPLIANCE REQUEST A THIRD RINSE
If your coffee machine is asking for a third rinse at the end of descaling, simply remove the water tank, fill it to the max level, and then empty the liquid from the drip tray to keep it from overflowing.
MAKE CERTAIN WATER OR STEAM COMES OUT OF THE WATERSPOUT
Stop the delivery of hot water by pressing “STOP”. Wash all parts of the spout thoroughly with a sponge and warm water.
SOMETIMES THE MILK CONTAINS LARGE BUBBLES AND SQUIRTS OUT OF THE MILK SPOUT OR THERE IS LITTLE FROTH
It could be that the milk is not cold enough or is not semi-skimmed or skimmed. Make sure you are using skimmed or semi-skimmed milk at refrigerator temperature (about 5°C). If the result is not as you wish, try changing the brand of milk.
